The Stretch and Scratch Story:

As a shelter volunteer, Joan Laisney saw scratch marks on cage
walls and shelving by shelter cats' attempts to perform natural
behaviors: stretching their muscles, scratching to clean their nails
and scent mark with paws.

After months of testing, Joan designed a scratcher for caged cats
that is sturdy, easy to install and affordable in a tight economy. In her
own words: "Thousands of cats can now get the cage enrichment
they need while waiting for adoption."
